What does a barber do?

What does a barber do? I know they cut hair and stuff but what else. Im thinking about getting my barbers license but what I need to know is is it worth it? Help me out. What does a barber do?
Wikipedia: A barber (from the Latin barba, ';beard';) is someone whose occupation is to cut any type of hair, give shaves, and trim beards. In previous times, barbers also performed surgery and dentistry.[1] In more recent times, with the development of safety razors and the decreasing prevalence of beards, most barbers primarily cut hair.

This is more a question for Google. What does a barber do?
I always thought of it like this..

Barber - The guy who cuts dad's hair

Hair Stylist - The guy who cut's my brothers hair.

A barber does haircuts, shaves, moustaches, and beards.

Some do manicures. Or they have a lady on the premises who does them.

Not sure if they do any eyebrow work, or nose, ear hair etc.

You should go into a barber shop and talk to someone who's made a lifetime of it.

See what they think and any suggestions about what lies ahead for the barber business.

Find one thats like 50 or so. Then he wont feel threated about you putting him out of business.

I think this is a great idea, before you spend time and money doing this.
HIstorically, a barber is a person who specializes in cutting men's hair. This also includes shaving and trimming mens beards.
