Why would you trade a clear #1 starter like Barber for a guy who'll split time (Bush) and a backup (Taylor)?

Barber is a clear top running back this season while Bush has underachieved. Taylor will get carries but will remain a backup.





The only factor that would come close to changing my mind is if your league offers a point per reception. At that point Bush becomes more valuable. But Barber I think will be used in the passing game this season as well, and he is -- by far -- the best running back in the deal you asked about.

No, it's a lousy trade. Why would you settle for a backup RB (Taylor) and a RB who splits time in a pass-heavy offense? The guy is playin you like a fiddle!! A fool and his RB are soon parted!
