I have other good running backs as well. What is your opinion of this trade? Please, serious answers only. Thanks!I am thinking of offering Sean Alexander and Lamont Jordan for my opponent's Tiki Barber?
its always better to get rid of two players for one because it opens up roster room. Only an idiot would accept that tradeI am thinking of offering Sean Alexander and Lamont Jordan for my opponent's Tiki Barber?
Take Tiki Barber. Here is why. He is still getting the yards to get the points. Do you people think that Tiki is not going to break some 20+ yard touchdowns? It is only mid-season and now with the retirement at the end of this year, he is going to run as hard as ever. Now that Matt Hassleback is hurt, who do you think the defenses will look at. Alexander of course. Not to mention he broke one of the most important things you need in the NFL, to make those little things they call ';cuts';, so you dont get your effin head ripped off......it's called a foot. Finally, Lamont Jordan is garbage.
when Sean Alexander comes back he should be some what productive,as productive as Tiki Barberi ,i would say not ..its all a guessing game u try to make smart decisions for ur fantasy team so u become stronger, now its somewhat true that u don't get the value u should get out of the players u trade,i think that's depends on the owner and the type of player u are.... be confident in ur decision ,if ur not don't do it..............the only other thin i would say,i think u can get another player out of the trade if their willing to work with u...good luck
Tiki Barber-647yrds leads nfl +he is a top 10 fantasy rb,tds or no tds good fantasy, but B. E. is right giving up a 2 for 1 for Alexander not good ..u need another player for that trade..........or be patient and wait out the pain.......
Are you kidding? You would offer last year's league MVP and the most consistant everydown back for the last 5 + years for tiki. This is all predicated on if Alexander is healthy and at full strength that's the gamble here. If the rest has allowed him to fully heal, I would keep Shawn. Don't get me wrong, Tiki is a great all around back, but there is a reason that Alexander has been a top 1-2 pick in most fantasy leagues, where as Barber has always been at most top 4. Alexander was obviously injured earkier in the season and that contributed to why he has not been as productive as in the past; plus he gets ALL of the crucial downs and the most important Goal line carries. The Giants are trying to lessen Barber's load so he will be ';fresh'; for the playoffs. He has to score at least a 10 yard TD cuz anything inside of the 10 usually has the rookie carrying the rock. Barber has never been a TD machine. He will get reception yards to make up for his lack of TDs, but who broke the record last year for most TDs in a season? Another reason is schedules. In the upcoming weeks, the Giants will be facing the Bucs, Bears, Jags, Panther Defense, while Seahawks will be facing less stout Defense, Chiefs, Raiders, Niniers- twice. I would not make this trade!
My serious answer is that whoever accepts this trade is an idiot. It would be great for you! So if you can get some schmuck to accept it, cheers to you. But I wouldn't even think it was a serious offer if it popped up in my inbox. You're going to offer 2 crap RBs for Tiki Barber? Lamont is garbage and Alexander is hurt. (not worth the risk) Tiki rarely puts up huge fantasy points but he's consistent (10-15 points) and always starts.
You should re-consider your trade strategy. If I own Tiki Barber, why would I give up my good, consistent RB for 2 more RBs that are hurt and suck? If you're desperate for a RB, you should target someone in your league that is stacked at RB but thin in another position. If a guy has a bunch of RBs but lack a QB or a WR for example....you should try to make moves with that guy. Offer him your back-up QB or one of your lesser WR for one of his mediocre RBs. You might get lucky and talk someone into a stupid trade, but by the midway point of the season....most people know what they are doing. Trade offers should be beneficial for both parties. * with a slight advantage your way of course.... ;-) *
Good luck.
Bad trade. Tiki might be leading the rushing yards but he is not even top 10 fantasy back this year. With goalline success of Jacobs , Tiki is not getting the goaline touches. I don't think he even want it. With retirement looming , he probably doesn't want to get crushed on the goaline. But the main reason is jacobs getting the goaline touches. Alexander when he comes back, no one takes carries away from mr.touchdown. Even Alexander for Tiki is a bad trade but you want to throw in Jordan. Horrible move.
