I have to agree with Nonna. Kid's hair grow at such different rates it's really hard to tell. I've cut children's hair when they weren't even a year old and some haven't had to have their hair cut until they were much older. Around 2 is probably the norm though. as soon as he has enough hair. you want him to get used to getting his hair cut at a young age so he isnt afraid when he is older. make sure you go to someone who has a lot of barbering experience and has delt with kids for a long time
My son's just turned 2 and he's had his hair cut 3 times. His first one was at 11 months. May have to hold them still on your lap, but the barbers are really patient and good with them when they figit about.
the age doesn't matter it depends on how long his hair is and how long the parent wants it to be
